Originally an old European celebration to prepare for Lent, it has developed into an iconic Brazilian party. It is a time of excess, innovation, role reversal and reflection that is expressed in unique ways in different cultures. This exhibition invites artists to share their vision of Carnival: the moments of excesses, the blurring of borders, the shift in identity and the cultural significance of the party. We are looking for work that explores the layered contradictions within Carnival.

Treehouse invites you and your toddler for a playful art adventure! For three Friday mornings, you'll discover the magic of creativity together, with a new theme every week and the extraordinary "Boefjeskastje" — a mini play museum full of surprises. For children aged 2 to 4 years.

In LOST IN PARADISE, Regina Rorije creates powerful cartoons using excerpts from newspaper photos. Her colorful collages bring people and animals together in surreal worlds full of fictional creatures and spaces. With humour and a keen eye for perspective, her works reflect the chaos and complexity of our time, in which freedom, loneliness and desires are central.

What does hope look like in a world full of fractures? The group exhibition RE:FWD: A Reply to the Present, A Forward to Us All brings together the future visions of 22 young artists, starting February 7th at Kunstlinie (and from July 18th at NDSM FUSE).
